Im assuming everyone is aware of the current situation with how terrible the economy is becoming and how much more difficult it is for the average person to have a good life, not just in the US but everywhere, and how new young adults are screwed being thrown out into this impossible world all by themselves.
Well im wondering the worse it gets and the more unhappy the average joe becomes, is there a chance that there might be a revolution or mass revolt / awarness / exposing as to how the government is screwing poeple over and the rich stay richer at the top?
I mean AI is stealing more jobs and getting jobs is harder + mental health and relationship issues and standards + houses are absurdly expensive and gatekeeped by the rich.
Or do you think that the world is under such group bias and control / brainwashing that there will never be a revolt or collapse and the average person and poor will just keep having it harder and harder and will continue getting milked?
While most people obviously know this, no one really comes far when coming out in public
to expose the corruption and hell in a mass eye opening scale since the world are like lambs
And prefer to stay safe in the majorities views and not risk being mass rejected.
But surellyyy if it gets bad enough people will just have enough! Right?? 🤔

I wonder this too but then, when there have been worldwide protests in the past, how much have they changed? I wonder what people would need to do. Just massive srikes maybe. Everyone refuses to work- but then, not everyone can afford to sustain that.

It's extremely brave and kind of socially reliant to put ourselves at risk for the greater good. The worry I have is- let's say the richest and most powerful get toppled. Does that mean we all automatically take care of one another? Who will take their place? Why will they be any different? I imagine most of us are used to looking out for ourselves. How do you shift from that to actively caring about everyone and, will everyone want to do that even?

At some point itll get too bad and something will happen i think....some sort of great worldwide frustration....maybe not soon but one day itll get too corrupt and fall apart.....or maybe it wont and those at the top are prepared and know how to avoid and slither through the cracks.

I must defer to SaFu's designated pundits: @noname223 & @Dejected 55 and @Pluto

Money is increasingly becoming worth less so quickly. Its almost an artificial standard of living. Even if you can afford to buy land the amount of property taxes and insurance and costs are just getting ridiculous. Every major American city has a ghetto area today. They always have but not like this. My point: look at New York, also has some of the most affluent neighborhoods on earth, too.

Toward a theory of economic relativity-
Unbridled capitalism is not a solution for the future and neither is pure communism. A change in the monetary system as a means towards facilitating better decision making in society. Money is a standardized utility. And utility comes out of game theory and decision theory. You've got to maximize utility, that way you come up with rational behavior.

Speaking of affordable housing... when I was growing up there were a lot of people who used to talk about supporting affordable housing and wanting more affordable housing to be built for people who couldn't afford housing at the market prices... BUT many of these same people followed up their "support" very quickly with, "but just don't built it near my neighborhood." Which is why the affordable housing developments always stall out.

Even the people who seem to have at least a little sympathy for others don't want them living next door!

It's one thing to not want the city dumping garbage in a vacant lot near your home... but treating affordable housing with the same disdain is why we can't have nice things.

Also, I used to live in a neighborhood with an HOA (Home Owner's Association). The HOA had some specific rules in it that forbade multiple families living in the same home or growing food on your own property... and if you dug a little deeper, it was clearly designed to feed into a stereotype against "hispanic" people and the HOA didn't want "those people" in the neighborhoods. I'd have much rather had "those people" living near me than the stuck-up nosey asshats that were running the HOA!

You're welcome. I mean, that feels weird... it's not like I'm a genius or a celebrity or something! I try to contribute where I think I have something to say worth saying. Sometimes I step into a quagmire, sometimes I don't. I'm always willing to learn and improve, and that comes from interaction.

I agree with the thought, if things continue there will be some sort of revolution.

But how? Rise up against politicians? Ok, but it would need to be both sides. In different ways, both have subverted the American worker. Both have contributed to this environment. I don't see people coming together to agree on this.

But then, what about those taking advantage of this environment? Personally id like to start with private equity firms as a target. But what about all corporate executives? Every day you can see multiple companies doing an enormous amount of layoffs even though they turn profits. So get rid of them all.

Then what about fraud? Again, regardless of your side of the aisle, both sides have people committing fraud and it's in the trillions of dollars. Those of us not involved are getting robbed in mind. But I'd go back to government for creating the environment in the first place.

Anyway, let's say we go against the government first. How? How would you get enough? People organized to go against the military and all other forms of law-enforcement? Seem impossible. If anything you would need to start with them and I don't know how that's gonna happen.
