• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

It's still a risk though on whether we will experience good things or bad things. For the majority of people, chances are, it will be a mixture. Although- does it really take much for the bad to outweigh the good? We may even contract mental illnesses where- no matter what happens- things seem so much worse than they are.

So sure- it could work out well. Someone may end up grateful they got the chance to experience all this. But- can they feel annoyed or, like they missed out if they didn't? If they don't exist, are they capable of feeling anything?

I guess that's why people argue that non existence is safest. In terms of numerical values- non existence could be seen as a zero score. Once we are born, we effectively start having positive, plus experiences or, negative minus ones. With no way to definitely prevent the minus scores- is it truly a gift? Did it have only good intentions behind it even? It could potentially be a box of poisonous snakes.
The majority of people empirically are happy to have been born struggles and suffering notwithstanding.

I would have in other circumstances.

If it was closer to an even split conventional ideas would probably be different. Or at least I wonder if they would be.

I am not afraid of death. I am afraid of the process of dying. Like you said, some people are lucky enough to die in their sleep. Most are not. Most people linger and suffer with some kind of disease before death. It's so unfair. Why can't everyone simply die by going to sleep peacefully?

You'll stop loving it when you'll be reincarnated as an afghan child or as a balding indian janitor

You can't assume how they feel about life and their lives. As long as they are not suicidal I'd take anything.

Why highlight balding though? I'm already balding anyways.
