I'm sorry for your experience, it must have been pretty scary to wake up on the shore… I can't imagine the feeling… was it at night?
I plan on doing the same thing but with some heavy stuff like oxys fent and benzos instead of alcohol. May I ask you how did it feel? Was it painful?
It's unbelievable to think you survived.
It's no problem, it was just after the new year, late evening, freezing cold.
Drank a bottle of whiskey, watched some videos on YouTube then stumbled down to the reservoir near me.
Honestly when I first went into the water I felt refreshed, calm because I thought it was finally over. I was just treading water for a while looking at the stars, I was scared sure but excited to see what happened after I was gone.
I swam out further and I remember struggling, I'd decided to wear my steel toe boots from work.
I blacked out then and woke up on shore coughing up the water I'd swallowed.
For some reason I just thought bollocks to this and dragged myself through a briar patch before stumbling home.
Honestly it was the first time in years I had known any kind of peace, it sounds stupid but being in the water looking up at the night sky has become one of my favourite memories.
If I did try drowning again I would swim out further and do what I said in my other post.
Hope that answers your questions.
