• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

IIRC It doesn't but don't take my word for it, your response lies in the SN megathread, I know someone responded to that...

NO.
Unless you're in a sauna you can open and close it several times :)

SN very durable even in a water solution .

Solid – not very reactive (slowly oxidize over long time). Clamps fine. Air-tight container can be opened and closed, won't go bad.
Solution (strong) – labs store it at room temp, open & close, a bit of oxygen is fine. Homemade solutions are not purified water, so should not be stored, but potency is maintained for at least several hours..

More data sheets & temperature -

Shall I FAQ it or something ?

[addendum]
  • Someone wrote here, in this thread, that SN is hygroscopic, absorbs moisture, "reacts" with water – true! – like regular table salt .
  • "React" : SN dissolves to suspended ions , which is not a reaction . In a reaction chemicals actually bond to produce new substance . SN does not break water molecules to bond with hydrogen or oxygen , thus not reactive ..
