Discussion Does having SN make you feel better?

I'm thinking that if/when I get SN that it might provide a sense of comfort knowing I can leave when I want.

Is anyone here in that situation where just having it makes you feel better?

It can be stored safely for a long time, as to get rid of it, it shouldn't be so hard, like every household chemical I suppose. A bit of research should give you the answer. SN is not as toxic as SA

Knowing my SN is in the mail is wonderful, its the only thing I have to look forward to so I'm grateful.

Definitely, positively, undeniably, ABSOLUTELY YES! It makes me so much more comfortable..words can't describe the security I feel by having a good way out! It's like a nice warm blanket that I can put on if I get cold enough(analogy). In my situation, it actually helps me to mentally function better, knowing that I can leave this shit hole any time I feel like it.


I'm glad it helps you to feel comforted too. It's like having a superpower...over your OWN life.... how cool is that? Guess what? We'd all have the 'N' superpower(haha, see what I did there?) if those stupid pro-lifers wouldn't keep it from us!

yes. and from my research its comforting to know that SN is a salt that if stored properly pretty much never goes bad. also if you have antiemtic pills it is still effective 10+ years later regardless of expiration date. so as long as I have SN and antiemetics and store it in a cool dry dark place my emergency exit is right there always available. the only thing that sucks about SN is how it takes a few hrs to actually die and can be revived before that.

It is kinda of a comfort to have it. Although it's the antiemetics thats hard for me to get in my country, no idea where to buy it from. Also, there is always the uncertainty if the quality and pureness of the SN I bought is good enough, even tho it says it's AR grade and 99% pureness.

Yes and no. It is comforting knowing I have it, but it is ideally not the way I would want to go since I don't think it is that peaceful, and as a result, I would most likely not use it anyway.

Now if I had pure N. That would be a whole other story.

Honestly, it did at first, but not so much anymore because it just kind of sits there looking at me looking at it looking at me. I am afraid to commit to it. I am afraid it will hurt. I have seen pictures of the after affects of SN and that makes me more afraid. I wonder if i will miss all of everything, the most minuscule things like the color of trees, or the scent of grass, or being able to get a cup of cappuccino. I have the SN but it does not seem as though I have the nerve to follow through and that fills me with anxiety.

I am a freak.

I've been a mess since it came. I've been anxious and even more depressed. I finally have the ability to do what I've wanted to do since I was about 13 (which is big!). I have a mess of belongings I have to deal with - and don't have the energy to do anything. And the thread about meto: what timing! I'm waiting for it to come in the mail but if I don't really need it, what am I truly waiting for?

I could be days away from a new job but that would be the only reason to live. And that's if I get the job. The rest of life is bad and only getting worse. My reasons for ctb won't have changed.

I'm not just even closer. That's anxiety-provoking. I'm a freak for not being comforted by having the SN. I don't want to be the freak of nature that survives an attempt.

I don't have SN but i have my exit bag kit ready and for some reason it gives me security. Like when I start thinking about negative stuff i tell myself: worst come worse you kill yourself and nothing bad gonna happen.

I too am a nervous wreck. I'm happy that I finally have the means to do what I want/need to do, but I'm nervous about a) the time I gulp the SN until the time I pass out, and b) failure. I also have a lot of things to consider and do before I drink it, but I keep putting them off because it just makes everything seem too real.

Same here. I've tried to ctb so many times, that I don't really believe myself anymore. Yes, I have SN but will I use it when the moment comes? SI sucks.

This sh!t pandemic has been going on for almost a year and I can't CTB yet (with SN) because my parents are home earlier than usual and they stay home most of the time. So I can't start fasting at least 8 hours, because if I do that they'll be suspicious
