Like Daizou Osamu who killed himself after No longer human. Or Yukio Mishima Life for sale.

I think Jean Amery or Camus might show that.

I read Infinite Jest and it was such a funny and at the same time deeply sad book. So many characters committed suicide in tragic ways. I think DFW was no nihilist though.

Funny enough there sorta is, although it wasn't about suicide and focuses on Estate issues. A few months ago i saw a book at B&N about preparing death, it had all types of tips like making sure all your junk is packed up, and estate issues. There are loads of books i just found about that sort of stuff. Good info to have.

Not exactly in the same vein as your referenced literature but in preparation for ctb I looked up articles on terminal patients preparing for death. Was helpful :)

There is literally a useful book called "In Case You Get Hit By a Bus". The author did not intend it to be for people who willingly catch the bus but I have read it and think it should honestly be required reading for any adult that knows they are about to die.
