Discussion do you make an effort to keep your use of this site private?

I'm just curious how many of you are logging in and out each time, clearing your history, or using private browsers. Personally I don't really make an effort to... I hide my entire identity here but on my computer its just logged in all the time.. I leave the tab open and go away from my pc because maybe the person I live with will see it. I think its something inside me that wants to believe I'm still cared about. I dunno.. Just curious.

I personally use private browser, if if i do ctb, i would delete all passwords and accounts to this site.

Yes, I do make efforts to conceal my use of this site as it is very taboo and I risk a lot if the people in my life were to find out I'm here.

I always use this site on a private browser separate from my main browser. I have very few people in my life both online and IRL, but nobody knows I post here. My presence here is kept a secret from my family and other online penpals.

If I were to CTB however, I personally don't mind if people found out I had an account here.

Yes but I didn't used to until I screenshared with someone and without thinking went to google something, only for this site to show up first when I typed s.

They didn't notice or at least didn't say anything about it but since then I at least made an effort of making sure this site isn't in my browsing history.

always used a private browser and i try to go on at very late times to prevent suspiociusin. i dont save the account username + password anywhere, relying on remembering it myself. i copy n paste things that people tell me thats very helpful and information, neevr screenshotting it so nobody can try to find out where its from. i also try not to hint at using this site or saying anything relating to it. on my phone, private brave browsers get locked and ud need to unlock it with ur finger print to open it with the current tab/s.

No, because all of my devices are my own with my own accounts. I use a different username than on most platforms but not a totally unique one. Details like my pfp and title compared to the username would make it immediately obvious to close friends who I am. But I make very little effort to hide this forum.

I do not really care - I don't use my real name here but I don't hide the fact I am here - I am also openly pro-CTB.

When people question it, I say that - I've been after few attempts, I know how it is like - I know what I felt, I know what made me not do it, I know how much courage it requires. In such sensitive topics I have a rule, I am allowed to speak anything I want about it if I experienced it - if I did not, I shut up.

I still think my boyfriend who is a paramedic AND has a PhD in psychology doesn't know about my views - it would probably not make him happy, as I am opposing what he is "fighting" for - but I kind of feel he does not love me anymore, and he did not for some time already. (if this is true, what kind of psychologist would he be if he knowingly hurt me?)

I am kind of tech guy, so I have some privacy concerns (that's why I hide my identity here), but actually I don't care much about it, since my devices are my own and they are not checked. I think there is also something to do with language barrier, since I live in non-English speaking country. None of my family member or my friends know that I'm here.

So I stay logged in. And don't really care if someone find my account when I die.

Yes, because I feel like being here makes me feel understood and less alone, and I forget that the majority of people don't share the same opinions or feelings that we do often. It feels normal to everyone here, but in reality can you imagine if someone in real life saw that you're on a suicide forum??? Maybe it's different for you but I can't imagine that happening to me, I do everything I can to avoid that happening. Most people don't understand and tend to judge suicidal people unfortunately.

People don't actually give a shit what you read in public unless its looks like obvious illegal activity. I checked on public buses and no one questioned me yet.

I really do not care, so no. I just don't use my name on here or any more personal details, but if say like, a friend finds me here or something or recognises my typing (I switch it up depending on mood tbh) and general thought process, then whatever. I'm very open about my beliefs anyway to people that know me. I also do know someone that also uses this site so it's not a stranger to my friends or anything.

If I ever successfully CTB, even if I tried to wipe this site from all history, during thorough investigations they have ways to recover all that info so hiding it at all is null. If a family member found me using this site, well... I'm an adult so what can they even say really. They also had years of warning signs. Pfft.

They can't. Unless they set up their own router for that purpose. It will show what websites are visited. I am not even sure if it's even legal to do so.
I mean if the owner sees it clearly and recongizes the purpose of the website in the browser somehow. It can happen when stopping by (fixing broken stuff in the apartment) or during emergency situations. In my opinion, it's rare but more likely to happen compared to "highly" sensitive SN that can still turn into nitrate because it is not factory sealed and screwed 30 times.

Not really, since nobody uses my computer. I do use SS on an account separate from my personal and work browsers though. And I guess if I'm on the website with people near me I zoom in a little so the logo in the top left can't be read,..

Nobody looks at my devices. I don't even close the tab any more. I use a VPN but also I feel like from my posts if any of you guys really wanted to you could look up my story and find my real name etc. I guess I kinda feel like nobody even cares. Like my life is over regardless.

i try to keep it very private. my family and friends are aware of some failed attempts in the past, so i worry they will take my usage of this site as an active threat and report me to the authorities.
