About the SN protocol, I have a question regarding the use of benzodiazepines.

PPEH recommends Oxazepam, so I'll use that as an example. Suppose we take 600mg of Oxazepam immediately after ingesting SN. This dosage would cause us to fall asleep earlier. The concern is: once we fall asleep, we lose the ability to monitor whether we vomit, and consequently, we may miss the opportunity to take the second dose.

By contrast, if we don't take any benzodiazepines, we may remain conscious for a longer period before falling asleep. The benefit of this is that we would have more time to respond to any vomiting if it occurs.

So I'm unsure — is the use of benzodiazepines actually a mistake?

Remark: English is not my first language, but I've tried my best to express the main idea. Please excuse any grammatical mistakes or awkward phrasing.

Is the point to fall asleep? I am under the assumption that you take it to kill the major anxiety that obviously comes with taking your life.

Honestly i took a dose of 15mg lorazopam and the fear around dying went away, the thought of my suicide made me feel calm.

Note that I haven't attempted with benzos in my system so I can't speak for how it affects an actual attempt.

Our goal is to relieve anxiety, but in reality, benzodiazepine-class medications usually will quickly put us into a state of deep sleep.
