• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

the future isn't necessarily looking bright, and i feel like the future might lead me to an even darker place than i'm already in.
i kinda predict (god forbid tho) that in the future i will have an extremely high dentist bill, probably half of what i own.
and i'll be poor.
either poor, which i already kinda am, or toothless.
neither of which are good for mental health.
being toothless would obviously be bad for a person's confidence and i would be permanently angry,
which would make people think of me as an asshole.

i'm already in a bad state where it's hard for me to smile... imagine with no teeth.
i don't want my family to remember me as an asshole.
so it's like... i feel like bouncing before it gets even worse type shit

I'm in a similar situation.
A large dentist bill is one of my many future problems. From stress, my teeth are getting weaker.

Have you considered going abroad for dentistry? Obviously- you'd need to do thorough research. Don't go for anything unregistered. One of my delivery drivers I chatted with mentioned his wife went overseas for work. He showed me a before and after picture and it was really impressive. Obviously, there's the travel cost but dentistry is insanely expensive in some countries.

I don't go in for anything cosmetic but, I'm getting to an age bits are starting to fail and fall off! I've needed a couple of fillings over the past few years and the price has been crazy. I'm mostly scared of infections etc.

It seems awful when it's effectively the cost of healthcare that pushes us to CTB.

wow really? sorry to hear.
yep similar shit with me, the stress thing.
not very convenient that stress only causes more stress.
like god/the universe is saying "i see you're in distress. now i'm gonna make you grind your teeth, which will only cause you more stress"

yep i'm very aware of that, thanks.
it's a pretty good solution, or half solution.
not that it would be perfect, but could save a few G's that way
