I want to amputate the entirety of my lower body. Fatally or not, I don't care. I have fatal means for later, but I have to endure a wait until then, so I want a hemicorporectomy. Here is what I have learned/thought of:
  • The bones of the spine are extremely thick and resilient. Some combination of gravity and force would be ideal rather than manual cutting. Due to haemorrhagic shock and the potential to damage vital organs manual cutting does not seem viable. I know how to construct a DIY guillotine, I only need to be left alone for enough days to do so. This is possible if I spend enough time faking baseline. There is a concern that my guillotine may not be strong enough to fully sever the spine but I am able to test this on non-human spines of deceased animals (you can get an entire carcass at the butcher's).
  • Target cut is lumbar spine which is difficult to reach without damaging vital organs. If the amputation is successful, this is not a concern; I will either be rushed to the hospital or die there.
  • Pain is not a concern (Rather, part of the motivation) but some local anesthetic may still be necessary to avoid shock.
  • Not really sure if a belt (to serve as a tourniquet) is viable to use here?
If you have any factual corrections to make I'd be happy to hear them.
