Hi there! This is not about mental health but is regarding to my studies I wanna vent, we had a group project due today and I couldn't help with that because I was feeling so bad emotionally I told them I also told "hey just add me and give me 0% of participation" and they did it they gave me 0% I know I asked for it but I was hoping some consideration since in the past I helped them a lot in some homeworks and I value other stuff other than if you help or not I would never give 0% at least I will help someone with 50% or something, I know it's fair I got 0% but hey just a bit of consideration and empathy wouldn't be bad I was dealing with substance abuse abstinence symptoms and also mental health and then we have a math guide in group as well I asked for my part days ago they left me on seen and today I had to text my girl classmate cause I see they don't even take time to tell me "hey we already have our parts you can return in the second guide" no! I had to ask omg I thought at least my group would have some empathy but I realized they don't but it's my fault for expecting stuff from them but I know this girl classmate is the one who says what to do she's the leader and we do what she says always but well thanks for reading me I kinda understand I haven't gone to classes for two weeks or more but yea I was expecting some help and empathy, have a good day people!

One way to look at anger, frustration, and disappointment is that these usually arise when there is a conflict between what we expect and reality. Since reality will not change, we should learn how to make our expectations more real.

Did you make them aware as to why you couldn't contribute? If I knew what you were going through at the time, I would have taken that into consideration and "carried you" to the end. If they were not aware, they may have just seen it as pure laziness and of course since you asked for it, they gave what you asked for. If they were not aware of what was going on, you can't really expect them to guess. Apologies if I'm wrong here, but that's how I'm understanding it.
