So I heard this shit on the news and thought it was desgusting how they were giving the "heros" all the attention. Asshole even prmoted that he was a comedian. Yeah cuz beer and comedy will solve all that dude's problem. Thing is the 6 pack used to lure the guy, the police had to keep it as "evidence".

Indeed.. must have been a dead broke alcoholic to take a beer over suicide if he was actually considering jumping.

That story was annoying to me because it reinforces the idea that people who are suicidal aren't rational, that we simply view events incorrectly, it's the depression talking, we haven't tried, etc.

It's almost like gaslighting, where they're telling us we're the ones who are crazy about what's real.
