Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought of the coffee shops in the Netherlands that sell marijuana. I thought, "That would be a fitting country to have suicide cafes." I would have been only mildly surprised if that's what this thread was about.

It doesn't seem related to euthanasia or the right-to-die movement. Don't see much value in this. "Death cafe" just poorly named to draw attention/clicks

I am part of a death cafe. I find it very comforting. I do not disclose that I am suicidal, but it is a safe space to discuss death in general without raising suspicion.

Yeah, the discussing death without suspicion could help a lot of people become pro-choice, since it could show them new perspectives. But other than that, I doubt it will do much.

It is a step but I doubt government and society will allow it.
