IMG 0095 Would this hook hold my weight if I used rope or put a belt loop through it and fashioned the noose out of my belt buckle? It's attached to the house so I assumed it would be very hard for it to fall off. Going to wait till nighttime since it's outdoors and neighbors could see. If the belt is a no-go, what kind of rope should I buy? I've seen that dock rope is good.

No, it's some kind of plastic material attached to the house. I had tested it briefly the other day using belt method and it didn't budge but I only put my full weight on for a second. I'm imagining it crashing down now and then my dad being like how the hell.. lmao. Straight to psych ward or 24/7 supervision for me. My house is not built for hanging 🤷‍♀️ none of the branches of the trees in my yard are thick enough to hold me 😁 I'm just a small girl and I don't want to have to blow my brains out w a shotgun but I'm backed into a corner here!

Not really. Are you saying my plans are dumb? My intro post here goes into detail why it's too late for me.
No, just wanted to know if there was any other way out for you 👋

Sorry, I'm newer. Didn't know my account was automatically private. I'm not sure of any other way. I've been planning for weeks.

probably not a good idea to do it out in the open in the view of your neighbors, especially if it might wake someone up or even break by the looks of it

Wouldn't trust this even if I was your size. Even if it somehow, miraculously able hold your weight initially, involuntary movements like sudden jerks can exert strong enough force to pull that screw through the plastic. It also seems like it's been there for a while, that's another thing to consider. I'm highly opposed, if you need honest opinion.

Time to go back to the drawing board, I guess. Note to self: if it seems too easy, it's not going to work, lmao.

This forum has saved me from unnecessary headaches and hospitalizations. I'm desperate and considered it and desperate people make stupid decisions so I'm grateful to this website. If SN was more available, it would be my method. Jumping is the only other thing available to me besides gun and I just don't have it in me. People say this website is cruel but it's actual harm reduction for suicidal people to save them from organ damage, becoming a vegetable, etc.
