The CO2 method is getting in an enclosed space and flooding it with CO2 instead of oxygen, probably with a travel bbq or small fire etc. But what about using a CO2 fire extinguisher? They're readily available and despite being heavy, not suspicious to have at all.

C02 is Carbon Dioxide, though. Carbon Monoxide is just C0. Unsure of using an extinguisher to achieve C0 CTB, though.

It works similarly, floods the lungs and doesn't let you breath

The CO2 in a fire extinguisher is not a gas, it is liquid in the form of foam.
It would be a little difficult to breathe foam into your lungs.
There is also not enough to be lethal.

If you want to feel like you're suffocating to death (caused by high blood CO2 levels) then why not just put a heavy duty bag over your head and tape it air tight at the neck? Horrible way to go though.
