Hello, I need to test my CN powder. So if I mix the powder in water and then detect the gas as HCN, does it confirm it is Cyanide?

How do u intend to detect HCN?

It's better to test via the formation of Prussian blue (or other chemical tests). See for example: https://www.chemeurope.com/en/encyclopedia/Cyanide.html

You would have to mix it with acid and not with water to generate HCN, that's very dangerous not only for you but also for other people.

Here you go. I did a chemical test too. Which one you think is authentic? I think this test is unreliable as I don't know which of the below powders is prussian blue.. Which one of the below powders is CN?

Also, I've already performed the gas test too. One of the powders is producing HCN.

Does it confirm cyanide?
