• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

apart from the checklist for the actual method, i wanted to know from you all if i am missing anything:

- a will
- consolidating all my finances
- instructions on how to dispose of my body
- a letter stating this is a rational, voluntary decision, my own only.

my spouse will inherit/get control of everything by default, i suppose, but i wanted to make it extra tight, legally.

am i forgetting anything else? do i need a power of attorney?

Looks complete unless you want to send letters to anyone else.

Im still kinda young and don't know much about this stuff. How do you go around researching this stuff? I have a lot of student loan debt but I don't know much about funeral cost or how it will work for my mom

Are your student loans government loans or private? Also, did you take out parent plus loans?

They are both. and Yes she took out a parent plus loan. I'm not sure how it will effect her once I pass
Should i start saving for my funeral cost myself or how do I make a will? I don't owe much or have much of anything really.

Also, private loans depend. They could or could not be discharged, depending on their terms.
