So I bought co detector. It's almost accurate. Only + or - 20 difference. It's shows 1100 p for half kilo coal in small close room. And 400 to 600 in a large room. I am planning to use 2 and kilo coal. Would I reach atleast 3000 ppm.? Should I go comfortably in large room with bed or small room on floor which is a wash room. ?

Did you see my thread about carbon monoxide last night? If not, I suggest you do so. The megathread about carbon monoxide is all wrong - it's ridiculous that it's even posted here.

Is there a way for you to link to it? I can't find it but I'd like to see it!

Guys. I attempted last night. Small bathroom. 2.5 kilo coal. Full room sealed. Reached 4500+ ppm. I was in there watching a movie trying to fall asleep for half an hour. I got dizzy, weak, out of breath after 10 mins. But did not lose consciousness. Just going out of breath, feeling suffocation and paralyzed. Which was scary, cause I expected to loose consciousness. And I did not even after half an hour. Just severely going out of breath, and weak. So I crawled out. Couldn't stand up. Fell on bed. Went to sleep . Woke up with head ache. I couldn't stand up all night. Got so scared that it would affect me without killing. I was in only in there for half an hour. Should I have been drunk.? To loose consciousness quickly.? Any tips. ?

Uou, how that happened? According to some reseach, you should not just lose consciouness, but die in less than 20 minutes with this concentration. About the tip to sleep rapidly, you can consume sleeping pills to accelerate the process.

Where have you all thought of setting up a tent or parking a car? I feel like it'd be pretty difficult to find a secluded spot where you can do this uninterrupted.

Hi, this will be the megathread for the carbon monoxide method.

I have some questions about the charcoal method, is it a simple method to do? Like buying charcoal and setting it or there is some steps and setup to follow

The ppeh gives low rating for preparation but good rating for reliability, peacefulness and quickness
Wouldn't a generator work? I know modern cars have catalytic converter and don't produce as much CO. And charcoal grills probably aren't as reliable either.

But a gasoline generator would work, right? I mean except for it being loud... that's the only downside.

Yes it would work but charcoal also works. You could do both but for the generator you have to make sure you have one that doesn't have automatic co shutoff sensors. Modern generators have sensors that detect when co displaces oxygen in an environment and automatically shuts off. So get older generators like the Westinghouse wgen9500df or other ones that are cheaper and don't have automatic co shutoff sensors.

Thank you! Ironically that is exactly the generator I have!

what kind of coal you used? also maybe your CO is not accurate it could happen I bought one from amazon too and I don't think it's accurate and other commentaries says the same. buy one more up to 1000ppm but whit good reviews and test them both in same air if they reach 1000 same time.

curious what you burned there and if you are sure your space was sealed properly. not sure about your reader

You would have been good as dead with that much ppm, good chance the reader wasn't accurate. CO method is fine but I'm combing CO with HCN just in case. So I could die 100%.

Is it a problem I cant breathe through my nose? When sleeping I sometimes wake up suffocating. My breathe is shallow.

I was set on SN but CO seems intriguing and potentially very fast and painless

Is it possible to use a CO canister in a small tent instead of burning charcoal? Seems cleaner and you don't go out sweating like a sauna. I don't see gas canisters and tents or cars mentioned together much

If you could get your hands on a canister than yes.

I can get a 10k PPM tank, 100+ liters at a pressure that's about 10k liters total , which should be very quick but doesn't allow for a very safe test run. I'd not want to run that tank dry or it could be very dangerous to anyone finding me

That volume means a car would be a valid option too, I assume

Can you tell me how you can get a tank or pm me with more info?
