short post, it's probably a bit stupid lol
can you OD with sleeping pills? and if I can, how much? what would I have to mix with them to make it effective?
if not, what other over-the-counter drugs can I OD with?
I'm in the US, if that helps

It's not a stupid question—but it's one that needs a serious answer.

Most otc sleeping pills in the us (like diphenhydramine or doxylamine) are very unlikely to cause a peaceful or reliable death, even in large doses. What you're more likely to get is hours (or days) of confusion, seizures, heart arrhythmias, organ damage, and a trip to the ER if someone finds you. If not, it can be a slow, terrifying experience that doesn't end in death.

Mixing with other substances like alcohol or other depressants increases the risk of death, but not reliably and the odds of survival with serious complications skyrocket. It's not peaceful. It's not quick.

I would read this.
