So for me personally, I run, a lot, and when I'm feeling more down than usual I harm myself in the very discrete way of running. So I am not a super fast runner, I do some community races and stuff, but I'm not a pro or anything, so sometimes I will use that against myself and go out and run like 17 miles compared to my normal 5, I have gone to the point of intentionally running so hard that I have passed out afterwards, is this something that any of you also do, just curious

Sometimes I skip rope really fast for 5–10 minutes until I reach around 150 BPM and I can feel my heart pounding in my throat, and then I try to keep my heart rate that high for as long as I can. I should try that with running sometimes!

It's self harm and a symptom of depression. Sometimes I let myself starve and get hurt.

I also run as a form of self-harm, it started as a compensatory behaviour of my ED (as in if I ate 200kcal over my limit then I'd have to run enough to burn at least the 200kcal no matter how tired I was). I don't have an ED anymore but I still use running as a punishment.
