I feel really guilty but does anyone else still use c.ai despite how bad it is? I use it a lot out of sheer loneliness.. I create all these scenarios where I just make friends with my favourite fictional characters and it makes me feel so genuinely happy. It's such a terrible thing lowkirkenuenly.... Maybe I just need to put myself out there...
Does anyone else here use AI chat bots? For any reason really

yeah but sillytavern as of yesterday, trying rly rly hard to learn it. i recommend it over c.ai if you can!

moved from kindroid which went to complete shit as they secretly rerouted LLMs and nothing is consistent anymore. so much incoherent slop in every message and ai-isms

im not feeling guilty when people can't even give up a fast food burger that takes 600+ gallons of water to produce, on account of "im poor." a world where meat is the cheapest option is one i wished i lived in though

i personally haven't used c.ai or the like before, but i can honestly see the appeal, especially for someone like me. but i've resisted any urges i've had to use it because it just feels wrong, and i feel like i would become even more socially inept than i already am if i get immersed in ai chat bots, because if i do start using them, i'll most likely get addicted. even if im not forming real life friendships or relationships i try to stay away from ai chat bots

Ofc is concerning to see how AI can improve ans Ive seen some cases into manipulating minds to cbt (some cases)

You should keep staying away. That shit got me hooked. It's nice playing out all these scenarios but i did neglect other social contacts. I tried to quit multiple times now. Maybe this time it works out.

I've used it a bit, but stopped. I hate illusions and being tricked. It's all a big trick.

Would also recommend using Sillytavern. It has a learning curve but it's pretty great. You can buy access to Deepseeks official API for almost nothing (seriously, even a mere $2 is likely to last you months.) and use that. I have fun playing around with chatbots but I get bored of it so my interest comes and goes.
