Help Bomb Suicide

Is making a homemade bomb, then taping it to your head and blowing it up an actual way to commit suicide? I have also heard that in Taiwan someone was assassinated using a homemade weapon, could a weapon like that be easily made?

Every warfare since humanity gained access to gunpowder proved that explosives are viable methods to end a person so no matter how naive your question sounds the answer is still yes. Questions that remain to be answered are:
- are you able to obtain (fireworks? demolition supplies?) or manufacture device with enough power to blast your head off with 100% success rate?
- can you do that without raising suspicions?
- do you have a place to perform tests and the execution without harming anyone else?
- did you take into consideration that poor bastard that eventually will have to scrape you off the walls, trees etc., depending on place you choose to die?

lostallhope thinks explosives are a very lethal and the most peaceful (least agony) method. But I have no idea how this should be carried out. Actually bomb suicide must be something almost impossible like death by N due to the difficulties @Jadeith mentioned.
