what kinda of ropes do you recommend, such as materials, thicknesses? a rope that can hold a lot of weight (180lbs)
i'm looking at one that is cotton and 6mm in diameter, but i don't know if it would be strong enough. what do yall think?

What kind of hanging are you doing? partial or full suspension? Its just this determines how strong the rope needs to be. Tho its suggested to use a braided rope for hanging.

partial suspension
well as this is partial suspension, you won't need it to be as strong as its not going to carry all your weight. I would say the rope you have said will be okay tho I am not too knowledgeable so hopefully others can say more info. I know polyester rope is a good choice tho.
