I'm not in the UK but have similar experiences. I've found regulations surrounding benefits very confusing. Often I've been surprised by things that happened, felt I didn't have any control. This has caused a lot of anxiety. When it comes to living with a partner, I'd rather never live with a partner again either. In my case for several reasons, but having a stable income and keeping that is a big factor. Also moving to another city is out of the question for me. That's because I'd have to apply for benefits in the new city all over again. I'm very lucky to receive benefits, it's very hard to qualify.

This is terrible. I'm so sorry. The same situation exists in the US. I schedule medical appointments and often wonder about this situation for the disabled.
