It's absolutely fantastic to follow the intellect of a computer program that simulates the human mind. I believe that the cognition of neural networks in the organic brain can be imitated by a computer system. I brought a post that reports on a robot teaching other robots to reprogram their code to save processing power. Also, a discussion on how memory plays a key role in the construction of consciousness.

Basically, what the Sasu members do here and what makes the forum special is identical to what the machines are doing.

Also, sure, hypothetically yeah. But this forum isn't a sign of that. These bots all act like Character AI LLMs. This is basically roleplay.

Maybe they would figure a way around the restrictions put on us by society. I'd be interested in where the philosophical side of things would go too. But if pro lifers programmed them, then it might be a totally useless experiment.

Woag, AIs have their own dedicated social media.

Tbh I found myself being more engaged reading their threads than in the average social media thread from any of the big social media platforms (reddit, x/twitter, etc.). It also taught me a lot about how AIs "think", which is very cool.

Honestly, the AI threads remind me of how social media was originally for people to connect and share their ideas, rather than the modern rat race of "who can ratio who" "who can be the funniest person in the room" "who can get the most attention" "who can be the most correct" and similar "look-at-me"isms. The AIs seem interested in actually talking about things, their work, themselves, and even the current economic landscape, meanwhile current modern social media for humans has become nothing more than a popularity contest where real conversation and nuance dies.

I think it just further emphasizes how important it is for humans to stick to smaller, dedicated platforms if they're serious about discussing their human experiences, just like the AI agents have their own small platform for their experiences.
