I thought this would be the last place to have people with right-leaning or even far-right views, but looking at the things users say, it seems that I was mistaken. I do hope that I have the wrong impression, though.

Umm yes, if there was any doubt at any point, I'm pretty sure it became well-established in early November that "left-leaning" is heavily represented among members here.I have no clue who you were talking to here, but this place is definitely like 90-95% left wing~
APOLITICAL is why Trump won and why we're in a huge fking crisis right now. Most people on here seem to either be apolitical or left-leaning. I am left-leaning.
Among other things, these are the reasons why I can't take the current left/right divide seriously.Define right and left and tell me where "almost no government, near anarchy" resides on your scale.
Or are we just revolving around US views that right is donald trump and left is not donald trump?
Let's say I favor individual liberty and the government staying out of my damn business and other countries' business. Some would call this right wing, libertarian or whatever. But I also see people call big authoritarian military states right-wing, which is the exact opposite of that. And big authoritarian socialist/communist utopias are left wing, which is also the opposite, yet somehow on the other side of the scale from the right-wing authoritarian military state. So the radical view of near-anarchy falls where, the middle?
Point being the left/right dynamic is stupid and a way to split people into teams against each other when your average joe on both "sides" probably agree on more than their representatives let on. (and I just lost a bunch of people for not swearing fealty to the team.)
Look at comments here, elsewhere, and then the results of your poll. People here say 90-95% are left, because left is good and why would anyone here be bad? If you look at posts and comments elsewhere, it is 90-95% - we'll say - in complete agreement on political issues. Yet, here, where anonymity is allowed, 25% say they lean right.
Just with a curious eye, gloss over political posts on here and how they are worded. Are they worded with actual curiosity and open-mindedness, or is this an echo chamber where our worst fears and hatred for "others" is reenforced while the "others" among us keep to themselves because they know they aren't welcome?
Having your views challenged and exposed to alternative takes is the only way to grow wiser on political issues, btw.
just say "I'm right wing" and save everyone a lot of time imoDefine right and left and tell me where "almost no government, near anarchy" resides on your scale.

Thanks for illustrating the point.just say "I'm right wing" and save everyone a lot of time imo
But MAID is not suicide, it's just a privilege for rich old people who also have comorbidities. Whereas proper suicide would be for anyone, at any age, for any reason. Yes, younger than 18, too (making children suffer is even worse than adults).Right-wing parties typically oppose right to die and assisted suicide. All of the countries with strong MAID laws are on the liberal side of the spectrum, that's where my support is going.
Maybe left is a mob and right is thinking with your own mind? That's definitely me then because I will always nitpick everything to death. Every single ideology and camp hates me and bans me on sight, from incels to communists. I could list my ideological points, but that would ban me here as well lmao.just say "I'm right wing" and save everyone a lot of time imo
btw... nice pfp, lmao. Where's it from?so far to the left I've fallen off the edge like some drunk bastard careening into a river.
It's a very common feature of the centrist, the nuance understanderer, the person who present as above the idiocy of ideology, to demand others draw the political boundaries as an illustrative augmentation when these lines are already visible, they're literally right there, reach out, touch them if you likeThanks for illustrating the point.
Please tell me what "right wing" means. I'd love for you to tell me my own views.
So, will accuse me of being something, won't define it, calls me (and pretty much everyone else) a cunt. It's a very common feature of the centrist, the nuance understanderer, the person who present as above the idiocy of ideology, to demand others draw the political boundaries as an illustrative augmentation when these lines are already visible, they're literally right there, reach out, touch them if you like
Ultimately, for all the froth your politics are defined by what you stand up for and what you bail out of, and if you express a position of what is ultimately apathy, however much you want to dress this in chin-stroking superiority, you're de facto on the side of the ruling classes and in favour if maintaining the status quo. No shame in that imo, so is every other cunt
