Anyone Else Paranoid About N?

After the recent rash of scams and might-be-scams --Patrick, LMK, Spartacus, etc.-- I'm feeling paranoid about anyone even mentioning ctb with N. The instant N comes up at all on a thread I wonder, "is this the beginning of a scammer's shtick?"

Just like any other method that involves ingestion of substances. We don't know if this is SN or table salt? None of us are chemists to test the purity of the things we buy. It's so hard to buy things and make sure you get what you are paying for. I've known people that bought N, and its just cough syrup, but they lose out on alot of money. So they turned to other sure-fire methods like hanging or gun.

Yes, there's always the question of product quality/veracity, but I'm not paranoid about whether or not the N I received was actually N so much as whether the entire thread is crawling with scammers and I'm about to fall prey to one.

It's like swimming in the sea at night, feeling something bump against your leg. Is it random flotsam, or a shark?

Until A is reported to be fully operational again, I'm treating every N-related thread in the same way l would with the "can l induce a heart attack by eating bananas?" type thread.

There is no N atm, basically.

Even when N is mentioned in the context of, "I have my N; planning to ctb this weekend," I hold my breath and wait for the other shoe to drop in some way that's a set-up for someone to get scammed.

If I were to buy N in the first place without doing it first hand in another country from a vet supplier I would only buy N from A. I know it's not easy to obtain, it's not cheap and it's nerve racking to say the least. Stick with what's confirmed legit no matter how tempting others may seem.

Given the trouble and gamble of getting legit N both in terms of the steps of finding a reliable vendor, ordering it and hoping customs don't intercept it, hiding it upon getting it, and then the costs, I would say I'm more skeptical than paranoid. Thus, I have gone to hanging, firearms, and other means. However, for those who can obtain N and have successfully obtained it, kudos and may they get a peaceful end to their suffering.

Since A's recent hiatus, the discussion around N has become progressively worse. Anyone even hinting at offering N (or knowing of an unlisted supplier) should be provisionally considered a scammer.

I hope A gets back soon, for everyone's sake.

Requests / Selling: Do not buy, sell, nor ask for products nor money.

I know that things are a bit more difficult with A being on hiatus. But these rules are put in place to not only protect you from losing money, but from losing your choice as well. Anyone who offers you any sort of product for money should be reported to the staff.

It's a shame about all the scams, it just shows how grossly corrupted the world is when not only do people prey on people who want to die, but go to so much effort to actively connect with the community just to then push fake (I assume) products onto them.

Personally my trip to get N in person has been soured a little, it was supposed to be a joyous occasion, but this country is far far harsher than anything I have encountered before and will chew you up and spit you out in a second. Now instead of joy it's more like hang on for dear life and try not to get robbed or scammed (again) and deal with a constant parade of aggressive tourist fishers (fishing for easy targets) every day. N might give a peaceful end, but Peru certainly does not.

I've been telling everyone how shitty South America is. All countries here are hellholes. Brazilians tend to think they're better than the others, though (same for Argentinians). At least Peru allows you to buy N.

In Brazil you can buy crack cocaine on every street corner, but sleeping pills are off-limits. Fucking hypocrites.

Yeh it is pretty awful. I hate traveling because I am so gullible and awkward and just generally not 'street smart' so I have never experienced anything like this, I have been sheltered with simple holidays that are just a slight variation on the comforts of home (Spain, USA etc).

I'm not sure I want this to be my final resting place to be honest

Sorry, your trip sounds awful. I guess never travel to Peru for a vacation... even if it is to obtain N.
