Anyone else have Chronic painzomnia?

I'm in so much pain. I have Sjögren's syndrome, EDS, and a bunch of other conditions, and I'm having a terrible flare at the moment. I can't sleep; I haven't been able to sleep properly for months. the pain is so bad I had an ice-cold shower, and I still feel like I'm burning alive. I wish my chronic illnesses would hurry up and end me already , I feel like my body is constantly tormenting me.

I've been in similarly acute pain for a long time before. It's definitely bs of the highest order to suffer endlessly without death intervening on its own.

The pain just wears you down, and I'm finding getting prescribed any pain relief so difficult.


I'm sorry you're in pain too. I wish our body's would just stop torturing us or at least just let us go in peace. :(

so just a month ago i had nerve pain and one night it felt like i'd been completely dipped in lava…somehow managed to fall asleep after that. maybe it was the drugs

Nerve pain is so bad. I'm sorry you have this too :( Sometimes the lava has the bug crawling sensation too, or feels like pins and needles , like why?


And so true, Chronic illness was the final nail in the coffin for my faith in the world after I saw how it treats sick people. I lost my friends, my family, and even the doctors all abandoned me in my pain. It's sad because this seems to be not uncommon.

I feel you I have different chronic illnesses and chronic pain conditions, but I have painsomnia every night. Bad nights I don't sleep or I get 1-4 hours of sleep. On "good" nights, I sleep 5-6 hours. I haven't had "normal" people sleep in years. I hate painsomnia. :(

I'm sorry :( Yeah, it's not uncommon. I lost 99% of friendships and family stopped talking to me. I'm lucky that I still have my husband. But, I feel like a burden because he's my caregiver :(
