Any voice hearers here?

I here voices they are people that I know, family and neighbours. But I think really it is one voice; that of God.
They never tire and I can't escape them. I want to die but stay alive for my cat. I would like to go to Beachy head or hang myself. I ordered some rope it came today but is thicker than I ordered I just wanted to have it for comfort.

Hey, that doesn't sound easy but if you managed to live so far with it i am sure you have the power within you to keep doing the same. I don't know what you are dealing with exactly so i don't want to sound inconsiderate but maybe you can try to talk with the voice back? Even if you don't get a response it'll still be proof that you are willing to fight back. Also one thing that i always do to remain grateful is to think of others have it worse than me. You could be paralyzed or blind and imagine hearing voices when you are in a state like that (i am sure that both stereotypes exist and they battle their demons everyday to stay strong).

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I feel paralysed by the voices they are beginning to control every little thing that Ido. If I don't do what they want they name call and guilt me.

It sounds as if you have found some comfort and solace for now. That's a wonderful thing.

My prayer is that you continue to find peace in whatever form that may be. Just remember that God usually says beautiful things to his children so if some of the thoughts dont bring you joy tune those out and listen to the voices that do bring joy.

I've heard and seen "hallucinations" (I know they are not hallucinations) for about 8 years now. I can relate that I can't escape them, it's endless torture every single day. I also understand having comfort in having options, it doesn't feel like you're trapped if you have a choice. I hope that you don't find the voices distressing and that you can have periods of rest from them.

hmm. I hear all that stuff too but I know it's just my own mind working out things I wish I could say, just playing out hypothetical conversations I wish I could have with people to try to make them understand, etc.
So I hear voices but I'm aware they're just in my head, even if I answer them out loud.
People who hear audible voices that aren't there have sometimes been able to stop them by wearing earplugs. I saw it in a documentary about mental illness, supposedly it helps some neurological thingamajig.

I know it sounds weird but it's worth a try. If it doesn't work, just take them out.

I understand about your rope. For years I would keep knives in my bed like they were teddy bears, for the comfort of feeling like I could jam one in my throat and end it any time. I would practice the placement of the stab in front of the mirror to make sure I hit the major veins, all that.

replying to not_a_robot, earphones don't work I've tried everything. I was foolish and reduced my medication thinking I might be cured but I'm not and now it's nearly 5 weeks since increasing the medication to a much higher dose and its not working . I wish I could think it was my mind doing it but when I go out people seem to comment on my thoughts and life and then I'm convinced it's real. Oh well.

That has happened to me too but I definitely didn't imagine it.
I was in a lifestyle full of extremely malicious people and it was very easy for them to monitor my phone activity, and show up at places I'd be due to my isolated lifestyle, I only ever go to four places.
They all knew I was already teetering on the brink of suicide, and they were definitely trying to gaslight me into killing myself. Once I realized it, I felt like I had to survive awhile longer. I am positive they all had a betting-pool on when I would do it and how, and I just couldn't bear to let any of those bastards win.

Also, not earphones, plugs. I'll try to find you a link about it.

No, i don't hear voices and never did, just this retarded loud whine since i've fucked up my ears. Well, there was this one voice that i would hear - the voice of my conscience. I rarely listened to it. Big mistake. It was telling me how to choose the right path. The few times i followed it, things were good. Every time i did not follow it, life proved to me that i should've listened to it.

Sometimes I hear voices and see things. Sometimes it's people I know and sometimes it's things I like to call demons. Basically inner me coming to life and talking to me. I also sometimes see stuff moving when there is nothing there, shadow and stuff.

Yes, I hear one and I refer to it as He or Him.
He makes me very paranoid and tells me terrible things about myself.
I also have paranoid delusions see weird shit and have derealzation.
I'm on medication but it's not working that well now.

Does it help you to talk about it? Does anything help?
I have mild derealization/depersonalization but I feel pretty in control of it.

Doing what he says helps but that not always the best thing... Talking doesn't help that much but can sometimes.
Music always helps a lot

I have bipolar and have manic/psychotic episodes if I don't take medication. I would get treated if you can. If the voices are still there, you probably need a higher dose. It will help you think more clearly about your options.

I'm schizophrenic, currently in remission, i can recall a time when 2 female voices were commenting/chastising on my lame attempt to ctb by taking a prozac OD. After i'd took the pills i remember 1 of them commenting to the other saying "he'll have to take a lot more than that to be successful" and they were right of course. Voices were a rare thing for me thankfully, i feel for those who experience them.

I hear voices a few times a week, but they're completely undeciphrable and sound like thunder trying to say it's first words. Used to it by now, thankfully it's more comedic than disturbing for me.
