How do you feel about being here and giving/taking advice on suicide, since suicide is a sin in pretty much all religions ?

Also i would like to know how you feel about people of other religions posting about their death. Would you still encourage it even though your religion says they would go to hell ?

Personally I haven't told anyone not to go through with suicide nor have they said anything to me despite me knowing it's a sin. I don't feel anything I guess. None of us want to be here and we all want to die. I mean, no one can guarantee that someone is going to hell for committing suicide and we don't have a right to say that. It's all up to God.

I don't feel confortable in giving advices. I avoid giving advices.
I used to be religious and have a fear of going to hell.
But maybe god (if he exists) will show mercy and forgive me for being suicidal and for eventually ctbing.
I would love to experience his mercy for once in my life

Same here... I used to practise my religion and would always give advice and now sadly I'm not her anymore. I hope He forgives us.

I quit all of religious thoughts long time ago and it took long time to heal from the bruises it made. A method to control people and make them submissive and divided. Not to mention how it makes mental problems like OCD

The bible never condemns suicide, they are making assumptions based on "thou shalt not kill", and then killing is justified fot all kinds of "sin", war ect.

Atheist/apatheist. I don't give a theistic/faithful/goal driven interpretation of the universe, since everything, including what most people would call "superior minds" or "metaphysics", could be classified as a branch of physics if they could remotely exist, just as quantum entanglement phenomena and such
Plus, in everyday life I can't even stand those who make their personal special blend of faith and misinterpretation of science to support everything they want to their personal liking, so I'd say that the whole religious/spiritual issue doesn't affect me that much
