The only way a suicide become famous is if the person was notable or if it was recorded and posted online although ones that are posted online usually get made fun of and made famous by trolls. Take Ronnie McNutt, Gleb Korablev, and Shuaiby Aslam for example.

One persons suicide that I can remember is a guy who tied a rope around a high lamp post in town and when he was surrounded by people he jumped from a high spot decapitating himself and watching his head pop off.

That's fine, I guess. But please don't leave it covered with blood that would be too traumatic for the staff and require thousands in clean up costs. If bloodletting is in the picture then may I suggest in the woods where there are scavengers to pick your bones when you're gone.

Just something to consider - the cost of sanitizing the room afterward would likely be pretty hefty. There is a recent thread by a self-described ex-cop who used to investigate suicide scenes, and he said that cleaning blood is almost always very costly. The hotel could file a claim on your estate, meaning any funds or assets you leave behind to a next of kin would be used to pay for the cleanup.

Regarding becoming famous from doing that - I highly doubt painting a hotel with your blood would land you in the news or anything like that.

This is a terrible thing to do to another person. Finding dead bodies in a room is bad enough. Finding them with blood all over the walls is horrible. Do not make someone else's life worse while trying to escape your own.

I once thought about leaping from a bridge with a kind of bungee unravelling banner on a roll- like a big long loo roll, carrying some sort of message. But then, I'm neither political nor particularly articulate to know what to write.

Other than that- only really bad things I can think of. Either being part of a mass suicide cult. Some public stunt or worse of all, murder suicide. Or of course- be famous or very young.

I think public suicides likely shock and traumatize the wrong people though.
