All things work for a few days and then just stop working

I have been trying to treat my depression since last five years. First I tried more to a twenty medicines . Later I tried same number of supplements. Many times in the first few days I get great results and then am back to normal. It feels like swimming against a strong water current. I guess I have to accept that nothing will ever work.
