My CTB date is getting closer.
Today I was on the sidewalk, sitting on a public bench, waiting to get an errand done.
And a woman that was walking on the sidewalk approached to me and said "Can I bless you?", "Yes, sure, I said".
She put her hand over my head and said some words like "God will be with you..." and a couple of more things i can't remember exactly, it was very brief. She thanked me, and kept walking.
This was a VERY WTFFFFFF moment, never happened to me in my life, never.
Coincidence? I don't know, but it was surprising/interesting, to say the least.

That's very similar to the story I've told a few times... Many years ago I was eating at a Wendy's restaurant. A group of older women and one young woman came in while I was there. I went back to the line to get a Frosty for dessert, and the group of women were leaving, but the younger one walked up to me in line and just said, "God wanted me to tell you he loves you." I'm an atheist, but I try to be friendly and she wasn't being pushy... but I really didn't know what to say. She walked back and rejoined her group and they all left.

Wow that's incredible.
Were the women dressed in a religious outfit or something? This woman looked completely random, nothing would make you think she was a religious person.
It came out of nowhere, really.
Another shocking fact is that I had been sitting there for like 1 minute or so. SO CRAZY!

I see your surprise. It's not common for a stranger to approach you and just bless you, it must have been nice though. I remember saying to someone close to me on the bus "Nice song" or "Cool shirt" out of the blue, but it was very rare. I think being religious must play a role in having this tendency of "spreading love/the message" to strangers. Really bizarre coincidence nevertheless.

Not that I could tell. It was I think 3 older women and one younger. When I say younger, she wasn't really young... just younger than me. I feel like the older ones were maybe 60s+ and the younger one was in her early 30s maybe. They were just dressed normally, maybe modestly I don't know, but not in an obvious "we are a religious group on a mission" kind of way.

They weren't sitting near me in the restaurant so I don't know if they were talking religion or anything and I never caught them looking my way, but then I wasn't staring at them either. It was just odd as most were dumping trash to leave and the one came directly to me. As far as I could tell she didn't talk to anyone else outside her group... and I think I even said something like, "I don't know what to say to that." before she walked away.

In my case I felt fine, I was not pissed by any means, in fact, I felt fine, because at least I made the woman happy, I didn't reject her good intentions.

My situation had to do with a big buff County looking man , I can understand being nice to a older woman but this guy that randomly came up to me had no business coming up to a woman he didn't know to say such nonsense.

I remember my sister kicked me out in below freezing winter and I was crying gonna jump off this bridge below freezing mind you. Well there is this short old lady randomly standing there at the bridge looking over and she claims she was kicked out as well like I was. I didn't really question her much as I was really upset at the time but basically it feels like she saved my life. I even asked her if she wanted something to drink from the store she declined and remained standing there when I left to get out of the cold

I work in retail in a red state. People do this (talk about God or bless me or whatever) constantly to me. I just smile and grit my teeth simultaneously.

On the one hand it seems benign and almost sweet... but on the other... what if atheists walked up to random religious people and said, "I just wanted you to know that there is no God, but you matter anyway." Or you know here in the US, random darker-skinned people approaching strangers and saying "Allah cares for you" would not be met as civilly in some places.
