Your existence was predetermined by nature. It was nature that decided you would exist. I used to blame my parents, but I now realize I would have come into this life with or without them, perhaps through different parents.

Please define "nature."
Nature is the ultimate cosmic force, the totality of all that exists and the source of all life, order, and consciousness. It is not necessarily conscious, but it governs existence through unbreakable laws and cycles. Everything is born from it, sustained by it, and ultimately returns to it.

You should study physics in a collegiate setting if this is something that interests you so much. As well as biology.

You wouldn't be you if you had another set of parents btw. Different DNA and environment n allat.

I absolutely can. And I will and do.

They couldn't pay their heating bill. And instead of idk putting on more clothes or using a blanket, they decided to have sex to keep warm.

They choose to be stupid which resulted in my life.

My parents can get fucked. I can't wait till they are both gone and in the ground.

The brain gives you consciousness, because of chemical activity and electrical synapses happening in the brain. Energy cannot be created or destroyed its only transformed. However, who you are now is the result of your parents' reproduction.

Oh I'm sure they don't want their offspring to turn out being a royal sack of failures either.

I don't hate them for it, still doesn't change the fact that I'm here against my will tho.

Not to be irreverent here, but you should probably find something else to do in the meantime....it could be a while. And as a parent who has some flaws, let me apologize on behalf of misguided parents everywhere

I can somewhat agree and see where you are coming from with this, however in the real scheme of life, even after being born, {parents" should try their best to raise and nurture their children.

Take me for example, as when I was born, I was a male and NOT a female child and BOTH of my "parents" did NOT want me BUT with social norms back in the 1950's they would have been pariahs in the community if they put me up for adoption, so I went home and endured 18 years of hell.

I mean I have no contact with either of them now. And I doubt I will be notified when they do die. So I'll never actually know. But it is what they deserve. Not just for bringing me into existence tho. Mostly for what they did after that.

I disagree with the explanation but, in a way, agree with the point.

Everything that happens is the outcome of the culmination of all things that have happened before. Sometimes this is obvious and major, sometimes subtle and minor. Blaming one's parents for a shitty life - whether or not they were directly responsible - is no more justifiable than blaming one's grandparents for creating them. And great-grandparents, ad infinitum.

Even if your parents were shit, something made them that way, whether it was direct experiences or their genetics. No one chooses these foundational experiences for the most part; they're almost always something external - often, in much of the world, the direct or indirect result of another person's or people's actions.

It's misplaced to lay blame solely on one's parents. More fitting to lay it on the totality of the universe.

We evolved past the animal insticts of reproduction, we dont have mating seasons and we dont base your point of living on if we can make an offspring. I dont blame them personally but its my choice to do so, a choice i didnt had while coming to this world.
Much love 🤗

This is also my opinion. Different parents would maybe lead to a harmonic family life and that might have changed the whole course of life for many here.
Not everyone should be allowed to bring innocent children to this world especially not when they are a toxic and dysfunctional couple that always argues with each other.
One final point: mental illness - so many of them do have a huge genetic factor.

Is this along the lines of: 'Life will find a way?' I guess that's true. It's probably difficult to stop life fighting to come into this world.

How different would our lives have been if we'd been 'born' a fungus, virus, plant, bird, fish though? Even a human to different parents? A lot of creatures on this world seem to be so dominated by instinct. I doubt it even occurs to them that they have a choice not to reproduce. So in their case- sure, it could well be an unconscious drive they have little control over.

That's where humans are different though. We are capable of reasoning. We are capable of keeping control of our primal urges.

So, it's absolutely our parents decision and fault we are here. It's absolutely their decision to give their children half their genes, including the propensity to certain illnesses, the likelihood they will be good and bad in certain subjects.

They ought to be able to look at their own lives and struggles and think- do I want my child to struggle like this? Chances are, they might- with half their genes. Also- to just take a look around them. Can they afford to feed their child? Do they live somewhere safe? Will their child have good prospects to be able to support themselves one day, given the kind of start in life they will be able to give them? What's the state of the world in general? Looking good? How will it likely look in 30, 60 years time?

Humans are perfectly capable of thinking about all of this. We're not mindless animals. There are also a huge amount of people now making the decision not to have children now. Antinatilism is growing fast enough for there to be articles written panicking about it. How did those people refrain from the inevitable? Were they fated to reproduce but somehow, escaped?

We can't blame our parents for life itself having come about but our particular lives to them? Sure we can. They went ahead despite knowing the probability of risk to danger we would encounter.

With that logic, couldn't you say that it was predetermined by nature that one hates their parents? Maybe everything is predetermined?

Here's a fun fact... Girls are born with all of the eggs they will ever have and lose them as they get older. A bunch are lost long before they can even get pregnant. So, whereas men make sperm their whole lives, when make no eggs at all and only lose them over their lives.

For those who already know this, it isn't news... but here's an interesting way to look at it that fits with this post.

Your mother was born with the egg that would eventually pair up with a relatively new sperm to form you.

Your grandmother was born with the egg that would eventually become your mother.

Your great grandmother was born with the egg that would eventually become your grandmother.

This is true on your father's side as well, tracking back through his mother, grandmother, and so forth.

Which, if you really think about it, means... all of us have always been here... since the beginning. We just only woke up recently.

OK, that's impossible. You could have never come into this world through nature or different parents. Let me explain. When your parents copulate, it's their DNA that combines to produce you. You are completely unique. This is a fact. You could have only been created by your parents, no one else.

A certain amount of DNA from your father and mother combined to produce the unique being that you are. A Stork didn't drop you off at your parents.
