Can work yes but 9 times out of 10 people aren't putting enough pressure on their neck and just end up compressing their jugulars until their head is pulsating and throbbing then SI kicks in and people abort it.

It's possible, but it's a bit more difficult to succeed. It's easier for SI to take over and get you out if you're on your knees as opposed to sitting.

So more pressure so it hits the carotid in addition to the jugular or should they not be hitting the jugular at all somehow

You won't be able to avoid the jugular but if you can get the carotid it'll work

I'm pressing hard as shit on my carotid and nothing is happening. I also can't avoid my Adams apple or trachea or whatever and swallowing is wildly uncomfortable
