That is incredibly concerning. Have you spoke about that to your psychiatrist?

Did you take it for 5 months or it's been 5 months since you took it.

On quetiapine and tapering down aripiprazole - There is no evidence that suggests that antipsychotics will permanently reduce brain function, outside of rare AEs.

Some people recover enough to keep living, some people don't. Some people get worse. I know more suicides from Rx drug injury than anything else. One woman on here recently never got better from her psych med brain injuries unfortunately, I don't know how she compared to you specifically, but she held on as long as she could. She died by SN with someone.

I can tell you that I never got better, different drug but chemical brain damage from antibiotics, there seems to be a lot of overlap between the two classes of drugs for some reason.

The fact that you can go on the internet and read or write or talk puts you ahead of where some people were and are. If there's anything you still enjoy or anything, try to hold on to that.

You may want to consider some sort of drug that might help you sleep or not be anxious if you are suffering that way, I'm not suggesting you go on drugs or trying to diagnose you, I'm saying sometimes some people need a hand for a while until they can see if they are going to improve. I know some people who went that way and they needed benzodiazepines daily for a few years until they could safely taper off. Safely being the key, you don't want to have a protracted withdrawal.

My story is a bad one. I got worse after 3 years. Once the central nervous system is damaged it can't regenerate unfortunately and that's what happened to me. Commiting suicide as soon as possible.

Hope you're one of the ones that recovers or adapts 🙏 only time will tell unfortunately.

Yeah, this is actually difficult to quantify because I know a lot of people that never got better from it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who could attest to that. They always say these drugs are harmless and it's fine after you go off of them and any of us permanently irreversibly injured have a different story to tell. The drug company say it's all fine and good. They don't have any "evidence" to the contrary and all of us that embody the contrary are gaslit and told it's impossible and it's got to be something else even though you know the truth. The worst possible human suffering is chemical damage to the nervous system. I'm really sorry everybody suffering that too. Try to hang on 🙏
