If you are planning to try and od on codeine pills, I would really not advise it. I've tried in the past, it failed, I ended up in hospital. It massively contributed to my liver issues, which is at less then 50% of it's full capacity today, and is annoying as hell. Plus the stomach cramps when passing in and out of consciousness asides getting pumped are absolutely awful. And I have a high pain tolerance.
In conclusion 2.5 out of 10 effective for ctb alone, 8 out of 10 for embarrassment, issues and shame afterwards.

Forgive me, I'm dyslexic, didn't read your title properly. For hanging, well, it does give you a high, like all opium based pills and products. I guess it depends the dosage ingested, and if mixed with paracetamol or such. If so, you risk those cramps kicking in which can make your body search to fold on itself to relieve the pain.
But if the hanging is done right and you lose consciousness beforehand, I guess none of it matters. In any case, I'm sorry you feel troubled and need to go through with this.
It definitely helps, but as you said only as a sedatives to turn off your pain and SI. Please only using codeine over the normal dose to get the opioid effects of it and use them just as you've clearly prepared everything.
I feel sorry for your loss man, I hope you found peace after this.
Edit: Just to add to this, codeine has a narrow therapeutic index, with a dose of 500 to 1000 mg usually proving fatal. Assuming you have codeine 30 mg tablets, you can take 20-30 tablets to make sure you've fallen asleep right before you hung yourself.Last edited:I think you wrote your replies in the quote section.
