First, where do you do this when you live with some elderly family and don't want to cause them cardiac arrest upon finding your body? I live in a city, there's no public but private enough area I could do it afaik, but please suggest any guesses or common locations I might've overlooked. I also really don't want my ugly ass on gore sites. I want there to be a guarantee of either not being found or only found by responsible law enforcement. Maybe this is too much to ask without compromise.

And second, how much less effective is partial than full suspension? Does one involve more suffering? Where could I do full suspension when I don't have secure ceiling fans?

Is there a good chance I'd bust this showerhead out of the wall at 120lbs? Wobbles a lot when I pull on it, not sure how deep it really is in the wall.

Perhaps the best idea is to go to a hotel or accommodation where you have a private room for yourself. Make sure there are no security cameras inside the room (for example, they are common in Airbnbs in some parts of the world)

I'm not a fan of open areas like woods or that sort of thing, as there's a risk of someone finding you.

Are you very tall? You might be able to use a door as an anchor point, I recommend reading these threads:

📌Thread 'Guide on how to create an anchor point for full suspension hanging using only a dumbbell' / Second variant option, door + dumbbell

Full suspension is better than Partial because you'll use your entire weight to tighten the ligature around your neck and compress your carotid arteries. You won't even need to find a position, since your entire body will be floating in the air.
In less than 15 seconds you will lose consciousness (due to the blockage of oxygenated blood to the brain) and you will no longer feel anything.

📌 Brief summary about brain oxygen deprivation and death

The showerhead doesn't seem like a good idea, it's fragile, it will break. And if it wobbles when you pull on it.. it's a bad sign.

In India, they really mount their ceiling fans well.
Shower heads and curtain rods are not made to hold weight. A fail is bad. A fail with property damage is worse.

Full is better if done well.
Take a little time and see what you need and find a place to do it.

read, check out the book's section on hanging. Agree with everyone else, the showerhead is not a good idea, it will break. You need something really nice and solid. Is there no dense forest near you? I feel like a nice tree is ideal, aside from the risk of being found.

Agree with the other guy, maybe find an Airbnb, look for one that has some kind of good structure for hanging

this is exactly the kind of solution i completely missed, thank you. obviously still not a 'full guarantee' i won't be filmed or photographed but still more private than an open park & no family finding me themselves.

huge thanks to both of you for the links as well, i was having trouble navigating the site at 3am to find the tutorials and megathreads. still a new account.

no forest though, im in nyc & can't drive. agoraphobic as well so going longer distances to reach upstate is just too much of a hassle. i'm still considering a natural park near me alongside the inn/hotel idea since it'd be significantly more comforting to me to die in nature. i have both very nearby so it's just a matter of possible publicity.
