Just a theoretical question, if an emotionally hurting person would like to go by gunfire, but do not have any experience, where would they learn to shoot? They may want the dignity and privacy of learning this route entirely by themselves so they do not have to be around others. They would also probably want to learn to become comfortable discharging the firearm multiple times before they feel confident enough to follow through. That person might wonder if it is possible to do all of this alone or if they should expect the painful and awkward social affair of doing things society's way (before taking a sharp detour after the society has learnt them up and taught them the way of doing things). This person might live in the country and have access to forests.

If there's no access to gun ranges for this person, then shooting bottles or cans in a forest would help

Depending on where you are some countries have open ranges. Essentially target ranges (bring your own) but no shop owner or range owner around. There may be others present but you can choose a time ti minimize that.
