Be it a post, a reply, some discussions - what happened here on Sasu that made you think deeply about life or touched your heart?

For me, it was kindness of people here and also last replies of some members in goodbye threads just before ctb by SN. Some members' earlier replies were clear but as SN did its work, their last replies were not easily understandable

I once posted a photo of a pork loin in the shape of a penis. I didn't get banned but the mods weren't happy. So I would say make sure you avoid phallic-looking meats.

I'm surprised by the humanity found in here, I didn't think it was possible in a forum like this.

What particularly struck me was the thread opened in recent days by the sister of a user who made CTB who was looking for information from users regarding what he wrote on the forum.

What's touched me is how f'g hard it is actually CTB. Wish I would've been suicidal a year ago & Id come here & found out then. I would've stopped this financial trainwreck in time. Plan B sucks!

I think the understanding and lack of judgement people have here for others. The fact that people aren't judged for feeling the way they do and the fact that this site gives resources for people to make personal choices.

Decent freedom of speech.
Certainly better than, for example, ridiculous Reddit.

yes. I used to like reddit. it's toxic place. In some subreddits, write anything wrong and you are permanently banned, and mods never reply. Freedom of speech doesn't exist there
Did it seem like they were suffering in those last moments?
I think physically, yes, they may have felt pain, fear, but in a deep sense, they didn't suffer from said pain, fear. Sorry for turning this post all about myself, I want to add that I am at my lowest moment, so I see that I wouldn't suffer either. Even if I suffer during my last moments and given a choice to rescue myself, at this stage, i wouldn't do it. Because to rescue myself and then what to do? To return again to unemployment, or my toxic job / people where they make fun of my social awkwardness, shyness? I am too tired for that

Definitely the REAL TRUE humanity that can be found in this space. Just knowing there's somewhere I can put the darkest of my dark thoughts without risk…. It means a lot. Thank you to everyone that keeps this place going, you're fucking heroes.

I've had some experiences with people here and observations about things. And I realized that I can't actually share what's on my mind because if people found out I would be crucified worse than Jesus Christ.

One of the major reasons I don't post here as much.

watching people try to post through their last moments is... certainly touching in some dark way. really underlines how hard yet easy it is at the same time. other side of the world watching someones typing get more erratic is so surreal

The pure vulnerability people show here is beautiful and deeply saddening. I love being here because it seems that everyone can voice how they feel and what they are going through with such little judgment in return. The stories told here can be inspiring and gut-wrenching. There are so many sides of humanity present here and I love it so much, despite sometimes how grim seeing certain sides can be.

Also, this forum and its openness to topics of death helped me cope more with my intense fear of it. Seeing the wide array of views on death, the afterlife, morality, etc. has been deeply comforting and eye-opening. Death is less scary to me now (although I don't think the fear will ever fully go away, which is okay), and I just see it as part of a cycle.

Some goodbye threads have touched me, especially when read a lot of posts by that user or talked to them. Sort of bittersweet, glad they found their peace but sad it came to that for them.

And then also the kindness and selflessness of people who spent their final days or hours supporting complete strangers, despite so much suffering themselves.

Being able to freely discuss about CTB and other topics deemed too taboo for mainstream society without some moral busybody meddler coming in to try to interrupt or otherwise preach, lecture, or shame me for trying to have an open dialogue. There are many more other benefits of SaSu but that's one of the main ones.

I'm new here, but just the fact that there exists a forum to talk so freely about this with less judgement or more understanding/similar shared mindset than other forums is relieving and I feel something worthy of my gratefulness.

Lots of things really, the openness of members, the acceptance, the support etc.
The ability to share the thoughts I can't really share, with friends or family.
