There was this BIG flat-ish boulder at the curve in our driveway (we lived out in the country) that had a big indentation in it. My dad told us kids it was a dinosaur footprint. Anyway, it was surrounded by trees and vegetation so, while I could still hear my parents if they stepped out the door and hollered for me, they could not see me from the door, even if they walked out to the middle of the driveway/carport and looked.
I would hang out on that rock for HOURS -- hiding from my mother. But if she hollered for me, I would jump down off the rock and run around to the other side of the house and yell back that I was "over here". She never did figure out where I was hiding when she was mad and yelling at me all the things she was gonna do to me when she got her hands on me. Bonus points for that spot because the rule was when my father got home from work I had better be in the house without either of my parents having to come look for me. I used fo take my book out there and lay up against that rock ALL day. I was CRUSHED when my parents sold that property and moved us all back into town.
Edit: I could have sworn the title said favorite PLACE, not favorite SONG ... But I have one of those, too! Lol
