Discussion What tv/movies do you like to watch for a distraction?

I'm unemployed so I tend to watch a lot of tv and movies. I'm curious what people like to binge watch to distract them from life. I just finished watching the last season of Ozark and loved it. I'm also a huge Castle fan which has inspired me to try and write my own mystery novel.

I'm also curious if people have trouble watching certain shows because of triggers. I recently watched a movie called What Dreams May Come which was a great movie but hard to watch.

I could never get into the office because of the way they filmed it. Send weird to me but I plan on watching it some day. Love Seinfeld!

Mostly cooking competitions and game shows.

I like those as well. I just watched the latest Next Level Chef. An interesting cooking competition show. Game shows seen to be great for a distraction without any triggers.

I watch Sky News UK even though I'm American. Watching the news of other countries makes me think ok well some other people are having tough times just like we are. At the moment the US feels like it's imploding and we live in our bubble. It's interesting to hear what the UK is dealing with since US news doesn't cover a lot of their current events.

I have not seen any recently, but I used to quite like anime, my favourites were Angel Beats and the anime film Your Name.

Just yesterday i watched house of Gucci on my phone because i was very anxious and i needed a distraction

Mostly stuff from my childhood/teenage years.

The only ongoing shows these days I really watch are South Park, Rick and Morty, Family Guy, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. I also occasionally watch whatever is streaming on Disney+ or Netflix and am eager for Camp Cretaceous.

With movies I only really watch Marvel and some other Disney animated movies. Say what you will about Marvel but at least whenever it sucks it always pays off later. The thing I like about it is consistency and how much it rewards people for paying attention to it.

I just watched that Chang chi movie on Disney. Thought it was great!
