Currently unemployed, have no skills just looking to make income and not be a burden on my family. Need a job that will not make me indulge in the thinking mind.

I've been applying to disability for 3 years now :') Just got denied.

As for jobs, I think it's a matter of what your habits are re: mood swings. A low-stress job that is infrequent is something I'd like to aim for, because I am so out of practice when it comes to doing the bare minimum lol. But yeah something like janitorial work or anything physical like that, because you'll get real tired, and the more tired you are, the less you'll think. Also makes sleeping easier. But more than that, if you can't do it one day or something, you won't have the crushing guilt of letting down a bunch of people. That's what I'm gonna aim for the second I think I can handle working without jumping off a bridge!

Beyond that, honestly, don't be scared if you can't go to work because of depression, or whatever. At this point, having a job, any job, whether you lose it at some point because of your chronic condition, is better than never having tried to get income to begin with. I feel a lot of guilt whenever I think about the fact that there's a big chance i won't be able to maintain any one job I get, because even though I'm medicated I'm also completely insane lol. But I also have very severe anxiety so that probably plays a part.

Warehouses might be good, for the same physical-labor-esque. But I'd try to aim for things while the sun is still up (so not overnight) because working at night leads to a biiiig increase in depression. But if it fits into your schedule now (so if you're normally up super late), it wouldn't be hard to get used to it compared to if you wake up at the crack of dawn.

Good question... One BP friend does light cleaning and runs errands for people who ask for help on a neighborhood website. There's a need in my area for personal assistants for autistic people. That is, people who drive autistic clients, assist them in grocery stores to pick out stuff, take them on fun outings, etc. Not sure if these things are up your alley or if there are similar jobs where you live, so I'm going to ask my BP friends. If they have any good tips, I'll get back to you.

Dog walking/pet sitting if you like animals. I did it before I was bipolar but I was doing it from 12-17 before agoraphobia and really bad anxiety took over and it was really low stress. If I was just pet sitting I was just sitting in the house most of the day doing my own thing chilling with dogs. If anything happens and as long as you aren't in the middle of pet sitting nothing will really happen with the job.

The only bad part is dealing with hard to manage animals sometimes. There was one dog that I think had dementia and he would bark at nothing constantly and he was so crusty and nasty because there was something wrong with his eye. That would be uncommon though lol usually you just get take care of normal animals. I haven't done cats except for my brothers but those are even easier you just throw a toy around and feed them and they are happy.
