Yup. Depression. Prbly followed by severe physical pain, which definitely makes someone depressed I'm sure.

loneliness

eta: trauma, mental health, body dysmorphia, addiction, financial issues, grief, school, stress, and overall environment (people around you, home situation, etc) are also extremely common

Mostly trauma, I've said many times on here you'll try to get rid of it but it comes back everytime and can really take a toll on you.

Life's just fucking shit man. All of it causes mental problems.

Most people have to work 8 hours a day all week in a souless job just to survive. Oh you don't like sitting all day looking at excel and making some shit fuck rich? well too bad you must have a mental illness, here have your two hours of recreatinal time at the end of the day, scroll news about children being blown up alive in the middle east while some rich white man who diddles kids sits on a pile of cash. Pretend that's normal.

Oh another year another election where we see facist dude number one against facist dude number two with a pride flag. Also here take your regurgitated slop of content made by AI on the internet. Don't forget that if you're different society mostly hates you! yay love it here!

Hell here's your yearly video about SaSu where a rich fuck pretends he understands suicidal people, "*whispers* actually we don't, everyone is umconfortable when they talk, please be quiet and stop being fucked up in the head."

Oh you weren't born rich? well that's too bad, clearly if you weren't being busy being a baby in the 90's you should have bought property and you would have a place to live instead of renting from a corporation that owns 90% of the market.

Not even talking about the trauma people causes other people like abuse, neglect and the other shit that i'm sure takes a high portion of suicides.

Mental health issues (specifically depression) are the core. Nothing happens without it (except in cases where they're CTBing to end extreme pain).

Major depression. A very good therapist once told me he never met a patient that wasn't suicidal during a major depressive episode. But many do not admit the thoughts. I wonder whether his observation is true...

Severe trauma, mental illness and substance abuse problems, stressful life events (e.g. divorce, financial issues), prolonged stress, TBIs, and serious medical issues (especially ones that lead to intense chronic pain and suffering).

for me personally it's society I want to escape. my brain can't conform to the 'normalities' because I just think it's all fake & unauthentic and because of that it's hard to make true connections with people or believe anyone feels genuine about us.

those people are the ABSOLUTE worst and i don't care i'm still not over that nyt article/youtuber getting his highest viewed video just bashing our community and people feeding in by getting several thousands of likes for commenting that members on sasu should be doxed and arrested and charged with murder. those very same people were also questioning why some people haven't killed themselves yet if they're so depressed? yeah how pro life of them…

they claim to want to help us yet alienate us every chance they get. i said it once i'll say it again, taking away our chats, forums, and platforms does not make us any less suicidal or depressed as we already are it just makes us more isolated.

I think that the most common reason is because of the living conditions of the average person nowadays. More and more people have started to realise that they are wage slaves and that their lives are shitty. Wage slavery makes a lot of people stressed and they realise that the only way to escape society and financial problems is to ctb

Mental health issues, inability to trust intentions of other people, inability to form and not sabotage connections due to mental health issues. Society that is selfish

Literally what do those people expect us to do. If help and recovery were that accessible and easy then a lot of us wouldn't be here.
So many people only care about dragging someone away from the ledge of a tall building (metaphorically) just so they can say "Don't jump!" and walk away patting themselves on the back for being a good person who did the right thing. But they never look back to help the person down the entire building, lead them back home safely, and make sure they actually changed their mind about trying again.

Depression, isolation/loneliness, poor quality of life, loss of hope in general. I just don't see myself living up until old age with how the economy is going, it's all disheartening.
