Hey everyone, new here (been reading here for a few months)
English is not my native so sorry in advance if not writing perfect.

I have been switching methods from ligature strangulation to partial hanging because I couldn't really have success with that method, also I read that in order to succeed you need to apply pressure over 5kg on the carotids so not sure if it can work without extra pressure.

Basically my method is i tied a sort of a belt-rope to my window bars with hitch knot, and for the knot i used slipknot, and I tried to do it while sitting

My problem is I didn't really feel pressure on the carotids, I tried several times to locate the rope at the hyoid bone area, but with no success (didn't feel like i was about to fade out)
What do you think?

Because the rope is pulling UP when you're sitting down. The rope needs to pull nearly straight back to put pressure against your carotids. You need to lean FORWARD while standing.

Is it not possible with sitting? Because the rope is low

Because the way you have it, the rope is HIGH and will pull UPWARD when you sit. The rope needs to pull straight back, or nearly, straight back.

The only way I can describe it is picture a clothing rod in a closet. The end of a rope is tied around the clothing rod, the other end around the neck (slip knot of some sort). You put your feet against back wall of closet and lean forward until rope is tight and holding you up at a slight angle from vertical. There are probably other variations of this, but it's generally the idea. If you just try and sit with the rope secured somewhat above you, more than likely the rope around your neck is just going to slide upward towards under your chin (and off your arteries).

Thank you I hope I can do it tonight by this method

I think you're going to find it isn't all that easy. Partial requires 100% resolve. It's easy to just back out of an attempt, which is a pro and con at the same time.
Yes you are right, I placed it at the hyoid bone area and could feel my muscles jumping and probably was close to blackout but I pussied out.. Hopefully I'll try again tonight without regretting
