Personally wouldn't bother with either. Except maybe the first sentence of the Gunslinger.

I'm not a Dickens fan, not to read anyway, better to watch some of the tv adaptations.

The DT series is bloated and loses its way. King is better at the individual novel imo.

I should check out the movie versions.

I liked The Long Walk, but I couldn't finish The Stand.
