What are the most common profile pictures in this forum?

No picture probably. But we all have different letters. I am BIG N (red). One had to calculate which letter is the most common.

I think a fully black picture is quite popular.

Animes pictures are also very popular. Especially, anime girls. But they are only similar and not the same.

I have seen quite a few people with Omori character profile pictures. I am one of them. Tho people with these pfps use either different characters or different pictures of those characters.

This is why I usually don't even bother to look at the pictures. There are so many anime ones here and I know nothing about that stuff.

I'm still waiting for someone to use a lettered profile pic that doesn't match their username...

I wondered what would happen if I dropped mine. Apparently it would default to an "L" instead of a dash. But there are no-pic versions of the dollar sign, the semicolon, the question mark, numbers of course, lettering for different languages, as well as many different symbols... One of the more interesting default pictures is an upside-down smile face for a member whose username is literally "" (you can see this at the bottom of the last page of the registered members list).

I was surprised how many profile pictures are from anime or other forms of Asian art, and it makes me feel old.

I agree, there does seem to be a lot of anime profile pictures, but then, those are also just popular in general online, I think? I have a kitten as mine, with some strawberries on a pink background, since I like all of those things.

I've seen quite a lot of anime (that was already mentioned, just wanted to agree). Also some characters from movies. Letters (so no pic). I use a hand extended towards a cat. Because I love cats. And wanna pet them. Lovely furballs.

I think it's because the internet used to be a place for social outcasts, like nerds and weebs. AMV's were really popular in the late 2000's and I think it's a combination of nostalgia from that time period and also the fact that anime is a lot more mainstream now, despite fans of it still thinking they're different for liking it.

So yeah, you basically see them everywhere.
