Help What are reasons to do a SN blood test?

I sincerely apologize if this has already been answered somewhere or if I accidentally broke some rules by asking this but what exactly am I looking for if I decide to do SN blood test.? I thought that SN purity was only important factor but now I am seeing people posting their blood test with so many other information regarding the SN and I dont know if I should do this test myself or not. Could my dying proccess by more painful if there was something else wrong with my dossage and I wouldnt know about it?

Well im not sure if there is a different reason, but it gives a fast way of knowing if it even "kills" the blood. if its not getting dark or brown you already know your stuff wont work so no need to do actuall test.
At least thats what i think.
Also not everyone is able to get a testing kit so its kinda the only half-assed test they can do.

The reason i know of is to see how dark and how fast the blood gets when in contact with SN.
Not enough dark it means that it may be nitrate and not nitrite

Here my blood test i did a couple of days ago, didnt receive many feedback tho

So i've checked my sn after a little bit more than a year and it has become a huge solid lump, to obtain that spoon of powder i basically needed to dig in with a spoon. This is the result of the blood test, does it look good? It doesnt look very black to me Give me hope please

It gives you a rough purity estimate of your SN. People do this if they do not necessarily trust the source they purchased it from, or if the SN has been sitting around for years, and they want to make sure it could still possibly work.

WARNING BLOOD

Just got my hands on 500gm ~99% purity SN from a chem dealer (Philippines). Since nitrite test kit isn't available at the moment, I did some crude blood testing to see if there will be a reaction similar to what's been published here and other sources. Here's some info:

Test 1 set up

Drops of fresh blood dropped in a glass vessel with few grains of SN powder.

Reaction to Test 1

SN readily dissolve in blood. Rapid conversion of bright red blood sample into dark brown colored blood (methemoglobinemia).

Test 2 set up

Blood is dripped on a napkin, second patch of blood is added with very little amount of SN powder. Immediate reaction is observed and progressed to more regular blood being converted into dark colored product overtime.

Disclaimer: This test does not quantitatively confirm the purity of the Salt from the Chem supplier; although I am convinced that this is at least 99% purity. The supplier did send comprehensive resources on the description and safety in handlings the specific product. Overall, a reliable source in my opinion.

The mechanism of SN poisoning is through the conversion of Hemoglobin to Methemoglobin. In theory, blood test is a reliable way to roughly determine if the salt you have is potent. Just a few grains of the powder should have the power to induce changes in a few ml of fresh blood samples.
