Anyone else weirdly obsessed with celebrity suicides? For me it's Kurt Cobain and Robin Williams.

Kurt Cobain really was an amazing dude. Whether you're a celebrity or just some nobody, we all suffer so much. Hell of a world.

I'm not interested in celebrity suicides, but...

I'm sad that one really good sports presenter that everyone knew committed suicide. And I'm annoyed how it wasn't just said "it was suicide".

Instead it went like:

News: "A man died from being run over a train this morning in this village. In other news, this famous sports presenter everyone knows suddenly died today, no we can't say why he died, please don't ask. Please don't remember his home village and please don't notice the previous news and please don't use your brains"

The whole country's subreddit: "OMG! The famous sports presenter is the man who committed suicide!"

So everyone who didn't use reddit probably thought he died from a random sudden medical emergency or accident, while the whole country's reddit knew he was the man who committed suicide by getting under a train. I don't know if the news ever admitted the truth to the general public.

The one that hits close to home is Chester Bennington from Linkin Park.

I grew up with his music. So, when I first found out, I was really sad ;( But, I knew he was going through depression and he also just lost his best friend 2 months earlier to suicide as well.

Another one is my yoga teacher, Lesley Fightmaster. She had a big following on YouTube. When I found out it was a suicide, I cried and was sad for a long time. But, again she communicated with her students about her mental health and previous addiction struggles. What's sad is that her husband found a new woman like 3-6 months after she died o_o

And of course Robin Williams. His suicide is sad too because I understand why he did it. He was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia which is a progressive chronic illness. :( As someone with chronic illnesses myself, I understand where he was coming from.

For all these individuals, all I have is compassion and empathy for the pain and suffering they were going through :(

Linkin Park is one of my favourite bands, so I also was sad when he passed away.

I dislike celebrities; the way people praise them is just so off-putting for me.
