I've been thinking about this for weeks and have nobody to tell:
I've been listening nonstop to the full Supertramp discography, and one song just really pulls on my heartstrings, "Rosie had everything planned"

It's a pretty song about this woman, Rosie, who heard a rumor that her man was cheating on her, even though in reality he isn't, and is very near to her
"Oh but Rosie, a girl with a strange kind of humor
Stupidly took in a rumor
Making her think that she'd lost
Double-crossed by a man who was dear"

The storytelling is really ingenious by the way, since the song opens not with this, but with

"Acting upon information received
Rosie had everything planned
Stood in a garden with a shotgun in hand
What a woman"

We only find out the motive afterwards.

Anyways this is such a relatable song for me, since it deals a bit with a CONSTANT sense of overthinking and being overly dramatic, in such a malinchonic way.

It's like the world knows i can't be fixed and it just... looks and feels incredibly sorry.
It's such a gorgeous song harmonically too, but i'm too much of a music nerd so i better stop or else i'll end up yapping too much.

In case anybody is interested, here's the link to the song:

I am a big Supertramp fan and you hit the meaning dead on. Another great one by them, I think, is School. They had deep dark outlook on life in their lyrics and the music fell right along with it. Music has been an important "thing" in my life. I can put my whole life in the songs that I associated with events from as young as I could remember. Kiss shock me/christine 16 was the first 45 and pink Floyd the wall was the first album I bought 10 years old. Supertramp breakfast in America was the third. I had a strange taste in music for a kid lol
